Wilson & Johnson associate attorney passes the Florida Bar Exam
Wilson & Johnson announced that Courtney N. Smuder, an associate attorney in the firm’s Trusts & Estates practice, has passed the Florida Bar Exam.
Smuder joined Wilson & Johnson in May 2024. She focuses on estate planning, probate, and trust administration, bringing both legal knowledge and financial industry experience to her work with clients.
Smuder earned her Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, Florida in 2012, where she obtained certificates in Family Law and Pro Bono Service and served as both President and Vice President of the Women’s Law Student Association. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance, with a minor in Political Science, from Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida.
Before beginning her legal career, Smuder worked in the financial services industry for more than a decade, which gives her a practical understanding of wealth management and client advising that enhances her work in trusts and estates. She is currently active as a member of the Florida Bar Association, the Collier County Bar Association, and the Collier County Women’s Bar Association.
