Windward Construction wins six awards through Builders’ Showcase of Homes
Windward Construction earned six awards for a pair of custom waterfront homes through the Cape Coral Construction Industry Association’s 2024 Builders’ Showcase of Homes awards.
The models – Makani and Mahina – are both inspired by the islands and blend seamlessly with their surroundings.
The Makani won Best Overall in the category of $1.5 million to $2 million homes, as well as Best Exterior, Best Pool and Best Landscaping awards. The home is a 2,897-square-foot, 3.5-bedroom, 3-bathroom home in southeast Cape Coral with an open, airy layout. The home features a disappearing glass wall to the open expanses of the oversized lanai and cabana, while the kitchen, casual dining and great room melt into a space ideal for gatherings with family and friends. Living spaces also feature a private office and an owner’s retreat, and guests can enjoy private ensuite baths.
The Mahina won Best Exterior and Best Landscaping honors in the $2 million to $2.5 million category. The 2,911-square-foot, 3-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom home in Southeast Cape Coral is designed for an inspiring chef to take culinary experiences to new heights, as well as entertainers who can host memorable outdoor gatherings around an infinity-edge pool with serene views of the 200+ foot intersecting canal. The outdoor space transitions inside, where custom-designed decorative ceilings and wood floors add a touch of elegance and grandeur. A second-story observation deck offers elevated waterfront views that showcase the beauty of Southwest Florida.

The Cape Coral Construction Industry Association hosts its annual Builders’ Showcase of Homes each winter, allowing the region’s top builders to showcase their capabilities while offering self-guided tours for prospective buyers, real estate agents and industry professionals.
