Workforce Housing Property Dedication Ceremony
Collier County Board of County Commissioners invites you to attend a Workforce Housing Property Dedication Ceremony beginning at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 27, at the Golden Gate Golf Course property located at 4100 Golden Gate Pkwy., Naples, Florida (see attached map for parking and event location).
Collier County is pledging to dedicate 25 acres at the southeast corner of the Golden Gate Golf Course property to help address the workforce housing needs of our area. With the generous assistance of our benefactor community, Rural Neighborhoods is planning to construct 252 affordable apartments for essential service workers in addition to 100+ units for senior citizens and veterans.
This ceremony will feature remarks by County Manager Amy Patterson, District 3 Commissioner Burt Saunders, Kaydee Tuff from the Golden Gate Civic Association, Mary Beth Geier from the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation, and developer Steven Kirk from Rural Neighborhoods.
Two or more members of the Board of County Commissioners may be present and participate in the event. The subject matter of this event may be an item for discussion and action at a future Board of County Commissioners meeting.
The Rural Neighborhoods project is financed in part by the U.S. Dept. of Treasury, under federal award #596000558, the U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and Collier County Community and Human Services.
