Xavier Colon joins Fort Myers Community Redevelopment Agency

FORT MYERS, FL  – The Fort Myers Community Redevelopment Agency has hired Xavier Colon, MPA, FRA-RP as redevelopment manager.

In his new role he will be responsible assisting the CRA Director in coordinating projects and programs that implement and account for the formally-adopted CRA redevelopment plan within the designated CRA area. He will be responsible for gathering and disseminating business information and discussing financial incentives with prospective applicants to promote redevelopment activities as specified in the redevelopment plans.

Colon most recently served as interim executive director of City of Palmetto Community Redevelopment Agency. He holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of South Florida and a bachelor’s degree in political science with a concentration in public administration from the University of Florida. He also earned the Redevelopment Professional Designation from the Florida Redevelopment Association.
