1 Million Cups® Naples will feature a mental-health texting resource that provides daily positive support for depression and anxiety and a travel service that enables people to take weeklong vacations every year for $1 daily.
1 Million Cups ® Naples is held from 9-10 a.m. the second Wednesday of every month at the Naples Accelerator. Startups get six minutes to present their business, product or service, followed by up to 20 minutes of questions and advice from the audience, which includes the public, as well as SCORE, SBDC, Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce members, entrepreneurs and business professionals. The audience can ask questions or participate through the 1MC app.
The presenters are:
• Cope Notes, a mobile health resource that provides daily mental-health support via one text a day, which physically rewires the brain to think in healthier patterns. The Tampa-based service doesn’t require a smartphone, internet access or a data plan. Its target market is teens and adults who want to improve their mental and emotional health.
• Everything Vacations, a Charlotte, N.C.,-based travel service that takes over planning vacations and enables people to take weeklong vacations every year for less than $1 a day at some of the world’s nicest resorts. From three-day hotel stays to cruises and cabins, its target market is travel lovers ages 24 to 45. It gives back by recommending businesses to boost the local economies.
Organic coffee will be provided by Grumpy Goat Coffee and the Florida Culinary Accelerator @ Immokalee and paid for by our event sponsor, TLHA Enterprises, an accounting firm at the Naples Accelerator.
The Kauffman Foundation developed 1MC® in 2012 as a free nationwide program to educate, engage and inspire entrepreneurs and startups over a cup of coffee. There are now 183 1MCs nationwide, with 11 in Florida.
